FBI Electronic Check
 

Hi all,

Has anyone had experience in getting the FBI check through their new electronic system? The CIC website still has info on applying by mail, but this link has info on their new electronic system which is a lot faster :

Not sure if this is OK for CIC, but any experiences would be good to know!

Sorry I can’t help you with the electronic system...but we applied for FBI checks 18 mths ago by mail...it took exactly the time they quoted. I think it was between 12/16 weeks. :unsure:

Hello,

does anyone know: is the Electronic Identity History Summary website down for long?
I mean this one:

coming from this website:
https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/id...summary-checks
Was it even working in the past, has anyone used it?
Or is it now down because of the US government shut down?

JUST FYI:
Managed to access the site via Internet Explorer:
From their website (which one cannot access if they try it via Google Chrome... ):****We are currently experiencing issues with Google Chrome and Safari browsers. We recommend that Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox be used to submit requests to obtain or challenge your Identity History Summary information.****

Just in case people run into the same problem.
