Hi y ' all...
I add my story too on this post. I updated my PR application on December 10 th 2009 , after some kind of misunderstanding statements between me and the Embassy.
Well , anyway , heard nothing yet and an email I received from them said my application was in process...
I wait till May and then I will text them if nothing comes along...

London are obviously replying to emails a lot quicker. I just had a response from them this morning saying that my file was waiting to be reviewed by an officer Not really what I wanted to hear. Hopefully will all be sorted out by this Christmas though what do you reckon am I being optimistic?

We just got our PR which was fast-tracked through London. It took 8 months from time of application to receipt of PR papers.

Best wishes,
Gail

Not wanting to pee on your bonfire, but doesn't an RCMP cert take 6 months or have they speeded things up now? Do you have a common name - I understood that they only ask for these if you have a name they perceive to be common?

EDIT: Before you panic, looks like they can do it in 72hrs now if you have the prints taken electronically

We had the old fashioned ink prints done - which we took with us the same day. We returned to the RCMP office 3 days later to collect our certificates. (They only do fingerprints on a tuesday and certs are ready on fridays.)

Great news, Tracy!

Just to update my tale of woe, we got PPRs this month and are awaiting their return. So no need to start another LMO process - woo!

Hi Nicola N-A

I was wondering whether you'd heard anything yet with your application? Did you request CAIPS? I know someone in a similar situation who hasn't heard anything, and had their (PNP/PR) meds done Sept 08 and file transf to Seattle but silence afterwards.
