Greeting to the Professionals

I would like to know if a farmer specializing in fruits has any chance of being
accepted under the self-employed category if he is able to prove that he is so
qualified in his field with proper financial resources.

Farmers are not on the NOC but I do not know if they are able to qualify. I also do
not know what ETI means and how it differs from ETF.

Your help would be appreciated.

Thank You

Mark ( for response)

Farmers clearly belong to Self-Employed class. As long as they can document their
expertise and experience in the field as well as can prove having sufficient
financial resources to purchase a farm in Canada that will support their family then
they should have no problems qualifying, providing that all other criteria are met.
But I must honestly warn you that self-employed class is the toughest one to succeed
in. In self-employed class (like in other Business category classes) you don't add
points for occupation and ETF as those are only used in the Independent category.
