Extending Study Visa Less than 30 days
Hello I currently have a study permit that expires in September 30th and I am currently outside of Canada, while I can apply to extend my visa here outside of Canada it says that it will take 12 weeks by online. My question is that if I go back to Canada in Sep 9th will I be able to apply to extend my visa even though it expires in less than 30 days and I should add that if I apply in Canada it says that it will take 2 weeks, What are your recommendations in this situation I am currently frustrated.

Have you finished your studies or are they continuing?
You must apply to extend your study permit at least 30 days before it expires, so if it expires on 30th Sept you must apply to extend it online by the end of August. Where are you reading that you can extend your study permit in Canada and it only take 2 weeks?

Hi
1. The 30 days is a suggestion, by law, if the extension request has to be received by CIC before midnight on the expiry date.
2. The posted processing time for a study permit in Canada is 62 days. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration...ing-times.html A new study permit is 2 weeks.
