Default extending landing for immigration

What happens if you had your medical in May 2004 and you get the immigrant visa to land in Canada in December 2004 which claims that you have to land before May 2005 in Canada. But for some reasons you cannot land in Canada before August 2005. Would the immigration be cancelled or do you have to appear for a new medical and would there be a new immigrant visa affixed , how does the whole process flow?

You'll have to reapply.

You need to land before the expiring date, otherwise you need to reapply, start from the scratch...

YOu best bet might be to land within the validity of your visa and then leave and come back in August '05. You should arrange to use a friend's address in Canada for your PR card so that they can receive it and forward it to you.
