Both good points - not sure why I didn't think of either of those options.

Try another browser.
I did it in the end. CIC was fine it was job bank that didn't work. Used google chrome on my phone instead.

FYI - job bank does not appear to function properly with Firefox or safari

What's the site people use for a more detailed summary of their application process?

Lol, detailed summary? Does not exist!

Your options are:

MyCIC - Most of your updates will show here.
eCAS - Sometimes this thing stays the same for a really long time, BUT can give you knowledge of when your decision has been made (won't tell you what it is, but at least you know there is one!)

One of the letters has been done (employment history) on it it states I was a full time contract worker from march until July. I was working full time but is it a problem for CEC proof if it is on a contract. I am now permanent since July 2 this year?

No problem. I'm a contract worker. All my Canadian work experience is contract.

A certificate of qualification lets people work in some skilled trades in Canada. Only the provinces and territories can issue these certificates. To get one, a person must have them assess their training, trade experience and skills to and then pass a certification exam.

People usually have to go to the province or territory to be assessed.

============================
the previous paragraph is written in the experience part in the Express Entry, so my question is that I want to know if it is a must to have a "Canadian certificate of qualification" to be accepted by the Express Entry?

What is the stream under Express Entry you are applying for? Some qualifications usually in the trades sector (electrician, welders etc etc) can still apply where applicable but will need to have their qualifications assessed after arriving.
What is your occupation and NOC code?
