Re: Express Entry First Draw
See post no. 93, it's there. But here have been two further draws since BTJ posted that though, the lowest score from those selected was 808 I believe.

Re: Express Entry First Draw
Just got my Invitation To Apply at 6.40pm today, after applying on Tuesday
Qualified under CEC (as I've been working here since November 2013). Guess I wasted my application fee for BC PNP route (unless we stay on the slooooooooow train...), although there's no harm in becoming a Provincial Nominee as well!
Time to get cracking!

Re: Express Entry First Draw
Looks like the latest draw (#4) was 1187 ITAs, with the points cut off at 735.
Getting lower...
I'm tempted to throw my hat in the ring, even without an LMIA/PNP. I have 506pts, already have my IELTS (just need my ECA).
I think being in the pool and not getting selected will be easier to take than not being in the pool, and there being a freak month where the points cut off drops below 600.
It's unlikely, but I think I would be devastated if it did and I missed out.

Re: Express Entry First Draw
735?....well thats my prediction of never going below 800 out the window!!
However once again there is no way anyone can obtain that level or higher without a PNP or job offer and the extra 600...(as max 600 is available personal)
could drop to 605...and without the above it may as well be 905

I'm starting to feel so much more confident about the situation.

Well the language test and ECA aren't exactly cheap if you have a snowball's chance in hell of being selected.

I didn't want to shell out a load of money for nothing.
Going to send off for my ECA in a few days, though.
Fingers crossed.

If we could do it for them though...

Re: Express Entry First Draw
It's basically a paper gathering exercise... Police certificate, job references, bank statements etc. We did application in a couple of evenings, and then as above gathering evidence. It might help that we have both held our previous jobs for the last ten years so not much to do on that front. My use of Facebook was a godsend for travel history- filled a few pieces in
