Re: Express Entry First Draw
My OH has been working for 18 months, so I am assuming we are safe in the CEC zone!

Re: Express Entry First Draw
My son applied via CEC route for PR in December 2014. Rumour now has it that the cap has now been filled. He has more than 15 months work experience in Canada, a Bachelor's degree and a permanent teaching job. Will his job be classed as arranged employment for the purposes of Express Entry?
Any info. would be appreciated. :-)

Re: Express Entry First Draw
Does anyone know whether the NOC code specified for your work experience restricts you from using a job offer with a different NOC code?
It seems some of the NOC code descriptions are quite similar and overlap in some areas. Are these then deemed as transferable?

Re: Express Entry First Draw
Does anyone know whether you must have your degree evaluated to get the points for education, and if so, do you only get points for your highest level of education?
Thank you in advance.

I can't quite believe they did a draw again so soon! Perhaps they had anticipated a higher amount of applicants or they're just targeting those already in country. We had our ITA to apply. It will be home from skiing to paperwork later today!

Hi
1. Yes you have to have your education evaluated, only the highest level obtained, unless it is a Canadian degree/diploma.

What if your highest level of education has nothing to do with your job but a lower level of education does and your looking at PNP?

Thank you PMM, for the information. Will get his degree evaluated immediately to gain the additional 120 points.

Re: Express Entry First Draw
He's going for CEC. Applied Dec 2014, and has a permanent teaching position, but it looks like the cap was filled in October. Without getting his credentials assessed he does not receive any points for his education or canadian transferability skills for education, so not much chance of being selected otherwise.

Re: Express Entry First Draw
Do I only get 90 points for that? (One-year post-secondary program credential)
or
128 points? (Two or more post-secondary program credentials AND at least one of these credentials was issued on completion of a post-secondary program of three years or longer)
Thank you.
