Experts:What supporting docs required to support claim of relatives in Canada?
To prove that you have relatives in Canada, what are the supporting documents needed? Should it be authenticated or will a photocopy suffice?
Do I need to establish the relationship between me and the relative (either aunt or uncle)? How will I go about this? Do I need to submit a family tree?

Certified True copies. For an aunt or uncle you would need a copy of their
birth certificate, your parent, whose brother/sister they are, which shows
same parents, proof of their residence in Canada, either copy or PR or
Citizenship.

Thank you PMM.
My father and uncle came here in Manila as immigrants. My father had his naturalization papers but my uncle retain his previous citizenship. Both I think do not have birth certificates but they do have ACR(alien certification of registration). I cannot establish that they have the same parents although I have a family pictures of them with my grandmother. Can the family pictures support my claim or do I really need to present documents?
What if my uncle is not available to help, can I claim as relatives his wife(my aunt)?

I would not think that photographs would ever be considered as proof. I
could have my picture taken with you and say I am your sibling - but I don't
even know you. I think you will need the correct documentation.

The problem is my father was born during World War II. Documents are destroyed in that period. I can only get affidavits from his brothers and sister in establishing relationships.
Will it suffice?
