Default Experts please advise: Family sponsorship through Damascus

Hi,

My wife wants to sponsor her parents for PR.

They are Iranian, so I assume that the file will be sent to Damascus
for processing.

The problem with Damascus is that their current processing time for
other types of cases (i.e. Skilled Worker) is about 5 years.

I also understand that Family Sponsorship cases supposedly have higher
priority.

Now here is my question:

Once their file is sent to Damascus, will it join the same pool as
other categories or will it be scheduled for processing faster?

Does anybody know the current processing time of Family Sponsorship
files through Damascus?

Thanks
George

The processing priorities are : Spouses, children, parents/grandparents/,
skilled workers, (including self employed), entrepreneurs. So it should be
faster than a skilled worker, depending on where they lived in the past.
