Hi,
I recently recieved a letter from CIC London asking for 1) Medical
Examination within 90 days and 2) payment of Permanent Residence fees.
Does this mean that the decision is made?
Once i do my medicals, what would be the next steps? Can you please
give me a time line? This would help in planning for the trip.
Another doubt is that i am moving immediatley to another country.
(Kuwait to UAE - Still comes under CIC - London's jurisdiction) When i
inform them about the change in address at this stage, will it affect
my time line?
Jim / Andrew / all the experts out there - thanks in advance for your
advise.
Sunil

It appears that your application is nearly completion and that the selection
decision is made. Two to three months after the medicals are done you would
normally receive the request for your passport to issue the visa. No one
can truly say what the timeline will be since all cases are unique. The
visa will be valid for one year from the date of the medical and cannot be
extended. Moving to Kuwait will delay things somewhat.

Hey..
I had applied from Kuwait - and was living there till now. But I have
to move to Dubai immediately (job related) and will get a Dubai
residence stamped on my passport within a couple of weeks. At the same
time, I will get my medicals done in Dubai.
My question is - At what point in changing my country of residence
should i inform CIC? My move to Dubai may be temporary - (bcoz of my
job) So, can i wait for a couple of months after i physically move to
the new country before informing CIC?
Thanks again for your responses
