Default Experts................Please advice

Hi Everybody,

I applied for PR at CHC buffalo on March 2002. I got my initial
assessment result on June 2003. I completed my medicals and everything
else by August 2003. I know my RCMP checking has been completed and my
status changed to "decision made" in late January. I faxed CHC
buffalo to know about the status of my application last month and
later they called my relative and told them that the letter which was
mailed to me somehow returned back. Now I don't know how it happened,
so I faxed Buffalo again and gave them my address again and requested
them to mail me the letter again.

Now so far I haven't received anyhting yet. So what should I do now?

Can anybody please advice me? I am planning to fax them again next
week.....do you think I should wait more? Do you think there can be
delay before they would mail the letter again? I am in canada right
now and I think it takes around 7 days for a mail to arrive from
buffalo.

Please let me know if you have any idea....thanks

RCMP check is only one of the tasks to be completed and "decision made" in
your e-client most likely was entered in respect to only that task. The
longest usually is background/security check which has been initiated after
your interview was waived (if it was waived). Depending from your
nationality and countries you resided in such task may take anywhere from
several months to well over a year to conclude. If you provided Buffalo with
current and reliable mailing address then wait - don't expect to receive
anything immediately just because you provided address. It sometimes takes
quite few months to have the returned letter re-mailed.

Dear Mr. Miller,

Many thanks for taking time and giving me the reply.

I know that "decision made" can mean any decision made, but in my case
I am assuming that it is the final decision made considering my
nationality and the countries I resided in. Moreover I can't find any
other reason why CHC buffalo would mail me now as I submitted all the
required documents and my status has not been changed.

I think the rule is that I need to land by July as I did my medicals
in July 2003. Now if CHC buffalo takes two months to re-mail now,
there are possibilities that there may be more delays later. My
current mailing address is reliable, the only reason I didn't receive
the mail this time because of some accidental postal service error.
And this type of error can happen again.

I understand your point, and I also think that CHC buffalo might have
put my letter in queue to re-mail it. I think I will wait 2 more weeks
and then I will
request them again to see whether it is possible for them to mail me
the letter early. Actually after giving so much time and effort for
this PR application, it really hurts to wait indefinitely for some
unfortunate postal service mistake.

Thanks again for your reply.
