My wife received her AIP on March 2, 2004. I received a follow-up letter as
sponsor on March 3, 2004 indicating I qualified as a sponsor, etc. Today,
March 4, 2004 my wife received another letter asking her to bring
photographs for the Permanent Resident Card and to contact a CIC officer
about making an appointment to "finalize your status in Canada".
What does the letter received today, about the photographs and contacting a
specific CIC officer usually mean?
Thanks for your help.

She's going to receive her landing and the pictures are for her PR card.

It means that she will become a PR during her final interview in local CIC
office. Congratulations.

Just a follow-up. We contacted CIC Canada (Halifax) and was told that she
was approved and that we should be present for the official stamping of
passport, etc. this Wednesday.
Special thanks to all those, experts and non-experts, whose information
assisted me in conquering the huge amount of paperwork involved with
applying for the PR. I must've read that guide no less than 15 times. It
was worth it.
If you'd like my timeline, just respond and I'll post it.
