dear experts
does any of you know the recent timelines for citizenship cards for minors? i know it was 18mths just wondering if that time had reduced?
also as some of you may remember I'm sponsoring my husband to come back to Canada, well will my son need a Canadian passport and if so how do i get that without the c/card? any advice would be great. many thanks Nicky.

I think it took around 4mths for my son's card via London, but that was over 1.5yrs ago so not necessarily an indication of what's happening today. At the time I was told it would be 11-13mths I think, so it was certainly nowhere near that bad.

Did you not apply for a short validity 1yr passport at the same time as citizenship for your son? There was an extra tick box and small fee to pay if you wanted that via London, perhaps you can contact them and apply now if you want a canadian passport for him. We had the passport this way for my son within about 3 or 4wks I think.

Good luck
