Expert!!!! How long RCMP Criminal record check valid for Buffalo/Detroit visa post?

Any idea about how long RCMP Certified Criminal Record Check valid for
Buffalo/Detroit visa post? According to the RCMP CFSS web site
(http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/crimrec/finger2_e.htm) it takes 5 months to
check criminal record now a days.
Your input will be highly appreciated.
