Evidence of employment

Hi All,
I started this process in late Aug'01 got an AOR sometime in Nov'01. My initial assesment a week back. It says the interview has been waived but requests couple documents. I also believe the consulate called my office and spoke to my manager. The asssesment for says that I need to provide evidence of employment in US. Could you tell what canbe provided as evidence of employment is it a copy of my H1??

Thanks,
Salman

Re: Evidence of employment

I am also on H1 applied at Buffalo, got initial asmt: July 02. They asked me to submit notrize copy of updated reference letter from my current employer. May be in your case, you can send the copy of H1 too.
Mr. Miller can advice you in better way.
Could you please tell us, how do you know that they verified from your manager?

Re: Evidence of employment

Copy of H1, You employer's offer letter, You manager's letter of certifying you are
current employee ( if you can get ), and most important, your payroll stubs.

Re: Evidence of employment

Copy of H1 is not a proof nor any reference of employment. You need to provide
employment contract, payroll stubs, withholding tax forms from your employer (W-2 or
something like that) as well as updated reference letter.

If a letter of reference from your employer is not available, then you can use
substitute documents such as your H1 documentation, taxation documentation,
contracts, etc. Certified copies of such should be provided. As such objective
evidence as possible should be provided, and some of the documents should include an
account of your duties, if possible.

Re: Evidence of employment

Than you all for responding to my query. Based on your replies I understand that pay stubs are good evidence of employment. Could you tell me how many paystubs do I need to include would 3 months be good enough, also could I submit photocopies of my pay stubs as I need the orignals for convering my H1 to multiple. Would appreciate your reply on this.

Thanks,
Salman
