Default Errors in date of births of parents-Pl Help

Hello All,

I have recently submitted the updated information along with new forms. In that my spouse and myself have to provide the details of our parents.

Here the thing is: our parents are not educated (In India) and they do not have any record that show their proof of date of birth. When I initially applied , I put some approximate DoB's for all of them, by seeing their names in the voter list (they mention only age, not date of birth).

Now the problem is: I don't remember those dates which I first mentioned in my previous application. I did try to contact my parents back in India and get the dates from the application forms (photo copies). Unfortunately, they could not find those copies and expressed thier helplessness.

After deliberating for few days: I have again used the same technique here i.e. putting some approxiamte dates (but age is correct).

My question is: Will they cross check the DOB'S of our parents and create any problem if they find any discrepancy. There is no motive for providing the wrong information, and I do not get any advanatage out of it. Even they are not accompanying us and they do not hold any passposrts.

Experts pl let me know, whether there will be any problem? If so, pl tell me how can I correct it?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Damodar

This is not a misrepresentation of a material fact which would cause
an immigration officer to make a mistake in issuing a visa and
consequently I do not think you should worry to much about it.

You could write a note to the visa office explaining the situationa
and that the dates are approximations.

Hi pkjmet,

Thank you very much for your reply. As you advised, I will write a note to Buffalo RPC about it.
