Entry of husband to Canada question

This is just a quick question for future reference as we're not likely to be ready to
move back to Canada for a few years
Situation - My fiance and I have been living together in the Uk for almost 2 years. I
am a UK citizen, she is Canadian. She has an Ancestral Entry visa for the Uk as her
grandparents were born here. We will probably marry sometime in 2003.
It's always been our intention for us to move back to Canada at some point, most
likely in around 5 years time, so my questions are
a) As her husband, would I automatically be allowed to enter Canada with her?
b) Assuming I am, will I be allowed to seek work there. (An answer of no may be
quite satisfactory. Somehow I feel I could slip into the role of house husband
very well!![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
c) I have two sons who, by the time we are likely to move, would be 21 and 17
respectively. Whar would the regulations be if either of them were, at some point,
to wish to come and join us in Canada.
My thanks for any outline advice offered.
Happy New Year to all.

a) no, you will have to apply for immigration visa as a sponsored spouse first if you
want to move to Canada permanently.
b) even if you manage to enter as a visitor you will not be allowed to work in Canada
without proper Employment Authorization if you are not a Canadian citizen or PR
c) your sons should be included as your dependants in your immigration application
and land in Canada before the expiration of their immigration visas.

Just to add to Andrew's post with respect to your children. You should = pay heed to
the dependency requirements. Under 22 or still going to = school and financially
dependent by the time they enter Canada.
