Default Employer Contacted By CIC

Following on from another thread; what if you were self-employed? How would they check your crudentials?

And when they do the background check how many employers do they go back and check? All of them since you were 18 or just the current employer?

Default Re: Employer Contacted By CIC

Self-employed must prove their experience through reference letters (supported by contracts, tax returns and other evidence) from their clients. It is quite tough job to do it, especially to prove full time.

CIC will do verification of credentials with as many employers and as far back as necessary to make conclusive determination about claims in the application. There is no "fixed" number of employers of period they will go back to.
