hi-
I'm a Korean citizen. My partner & I are already in Canada, and
my partner is applying for immigration under skilled worker category.
(he is a u.s. citizen)
Somebody told me that I need emigrant's passport. Do I really need
this? (since i have to fill out so many forms to get one...)
we're applying through the consulate in Buffalo.
Thanks.

Every applicant for immigration visa must have a valid passport. Koreans are
required to provide copy of their PR passport before visas can be issued -
once approval is granted you'll receive a letter advising you to submit copy
of valid PR passport - such letter should assist you in obtaining PR
passport from Korean authorities.
