Default Elderly Parental sponsorship questions

I am thinking about bringing my elderly mother to Canada from the UK. I will sponsor her but am unsure as where we would stand with regard to medical expenses. She is has diabetes and would require continuous treatment. Would I have to cover any medical expenses she incurred? Would any sort of ill health hinder the chance of success of our application. Also, does anybody have any timelines for this sort of application. I have heard that parental sponsorships have lower priority than other family clas applications. Any help on this or related matters would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Matt

If your mother can pass the medical, then other than the first 3 months health insurance, other than drugs would not be a problem.
See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/departm...c-parents.html for average processing times.
