EE question

My daughter had to decline her ITA as she had misunderstood the employment requirements for her PR application (she counted hours of employment not weeks).

She is now back in the pool hoping and praying for a draw under 444 CRS points before 10th November as this is when her IEC visa expires.

Last night she was correcting her EE profile and the area titled Immigration history and Citizenships asks 'Has (name) applied for Express Entry before?.

She has of course, but declined the ITA. The EE profile she was working on is a continuation of the original, so we agreed that this response should be 'No'.

Could anyone with experience of a declined ITA give us an opinion on this as the paranoia that CIC/IRCC has created in us runs deep. Appreciate any input and thanks in advance.

Re: EE question

IMHO the reply would be No. Being in the EE Pool and not accepting the ITA is not an application as I posted before in one of the other threads.

Declining an invitation to apply
If you decline an invitation, you'll be put back into the Express Entry pool of candidates if you're still eligible. You'll be considered in future rounds of invitations.

In some cases, you may have to take steps to be considered again for the pool. For example:

you may need to get another job offer if you got additional points for a job offer, but the job is no longer available to you
you'll have to update your Express Entry profile if your marital status changed
There is no guarantee that you'll be invited to apply again. However, if you choose to re-enter the pool, declining an invitation won't have a negative effect on whether or not you could be invited to apply later.

If you don't decline an invitation and you don't apply within 90 days, the invitation will expire. To be considered in future rounds of invitations you'll have to:

complete and submit a new Express Entry profile
meet the eligibility
be accepted to the pool again
