Default Education: Interrupted/non-interrupted.

Can anyone shed some light on a puzzler for me.
When it comes to education, can your time be split?

It states
"Obtained a three-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship (other than university) and completed at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies"

Does this mean that I can count my schooling and military trade training.

Also, what about part time studies?

Thanks.
