Hi everyone,

I am currently in the process of putting together my application. I have a Bachelors degree and 2 Level 5 diplomas (Foundation degree equivalents) that I want to include to strengthen my CRS score.

I've used WES for my degree but they don't validate non-university qualifications.

Does anyone know if there is a provider that will?

Hi, and welcome to BE.

WES do assess non-university qualifications, they just don't assess vocational or non-academic ones, but no ECA provider does. Only academic qualifications count for points.

So you can include them in your ECA app to WES unless they are vocational?

Note you only score CRS points for your highest level of education so with a bachelors degree and then a series of foundation degrees it is likely you will only receive the points for the bachelors degree, especially if the foundation degree was a stepping stone to the bachelors.

hey man. from what i've heard CES or university of toronto as it is now known will validate diplomas. I have been speaking to a few different people who have had their btecs come back as post secondary where as wes have been known to class them differently. Is it a btec you have?

also it seems it may be based on time taken to do the course rather than level of the course. i'm currently getting my level 5 one year btec pro diploma assessed because I assumed this would get me more points than my two year level 3 national award btec but i'm starting to think I should have got the latter assessed, and might have to if I dont quite have enough points.
