Default ECA & EE Points Advice

Hi there,
Does anyone have any experience completing an ECA for A' Levels? So I have none of the original certificates and have had to apply and pay the individual exam boards for a certifying statement of results - is this going to be acceptable to WES as they all say they aren't able to reproduce an original certificate? Also, will assessing four A' Levels give me more points than just one or will it not matter?

Also, might be a strange question but say we were to get an ITA and then lost 10 points due to another year of age which might take us under the minimum points for that draw, does this matter once you've got an ITA or do you have to maintain those points until the application has been processed?!

Any input appreciated - thanks guys!

Can't answer the bit about A levels I'm afraid but re losing points for age; you only lose 5 per year not 10, and your points for age are locked in AFTER you have your ITA. From our ITA letter:

NOTE: If you had a birthday since we sent you this invitation, and the change to your age decreases your points total, this will not cause us to refuse your application for permanent residence.

Exemption to section A11.2: candidates whose birthday occurs after they receive an ITA

An applicant may have a birthday after they receive an ITA but before they submit their e-APR. Their change in age may lower their CRS score below the lowest score in the round of invitations. It may also result in the applicant no longer meeting the minimum requirements of the FSWC and, consequently, no longer meeting the MEC, resulting in a refusal based on section A11.2.
When a change in age results in the candidate no longer meeting the MEC or having their recalculated CRS points score fall below the lowest points score in that round of invitations, officers should consider applying the public policy to exempt applicants for permanent residence from certain age-based requirements between invitation to apply and application, based on section A25.2. This consideration can result in an exemption from the refusal of an application under section A11.2.

As to the A levels, you may struggle to get them assessed for ECA for EE - and if you do the points value will be no more than the equivalent of Grade 12 in Canada.

Transcripts etc., have to be sent directly to the company (such as WES) - by the School Board.

Welcome to BE, by the way!

A levels are considered equivalent to high school in Canada as formal education does not finish till age 18.
