Default driving under influence of alcohol

I believe I have a problem.

Last month I have been charged (see subject) and trial has been scheduled on
June next year.
I applied for permanent residence november 2001. Still waiting for initial
assessment from Buffalo. At the moment I have an emloyment authorization
(live and work in Canada).
As far as I know DUI is a criminal offence in Canada.
Also I have to extend my work permit soon.

My question is:
How does it affect my immigration case and work permit?
Is my deportation from Canada possible?

Thanks in advance,
Sarah

Oh boy, I beleive it will have an adverse effect. Get a very good lawyer and
spend as much to get out of it.

Works in USA ( if officer doesn't come to court on scehduled date, case is
dismissed..I don't know how lawyer do it. But seen many happen)

Sumatra is an unknown quantity at this point

That is enough to warrant criminal inadmissibility, which means that you'll be able to reapply after 5 years. The best way is to consult an experienced canadian lawyer.
