Default does anyone know which months are being processed now ?

MY TIME LINE

APPLIED: SOME TIME IN SEP

AOR RECIEVED : NOV 26 (I think)

WAITING FOR INTERVIEW

I applied thru a an immigration firm. If any one is planning to do thru a firm.my
advice is do it yourself. I have a photcopy of my AOR , Some times I wonder if its
real... any ways I checked the online ssytem on ca web site and nothing shows up.. so
I wonder if that firm actually applied or not.

anyways hoping for the best. I send a fax to the la office...from the looks of it I
do not expect any reply anyway.

the lawyer says some time in aug 2002. I have only 73 points ..so under the new
system I may not get thru (the new point system sucks)

From my analysis these are the steps to make sure you can get thru

1. learn french (mandatory)
2. try to get an MS if u havent got one
3. Get married to a professional (lol)
4. find job in canada (unlikely)

If any one has got better ideas pls let me know... also about the time lines

Thanks

Prash

Apparently the applications of people who applied in June/July (AOR in Sep/Oct) are
becoming "active"...

As for the AOR, you should ask your guy to send you all the originals, I dont see why
he needs to hold on to them, its your application and your money, he should forward
all the original stuff to you and keep copies for himself if he needs to file them.

One thing you should defiantely do is get the receipt for the application fees...

Where did you get the information from regarding "applications in June/July becoming
active and what CHC country are you refering too that's processing these
applications?

Friends of mine who applied in that timeframe (through Buffalo) are being assessed
now, others I know about have received their assessment notices/interview waivers.

I regret to disappoint you but it doesn't mean anything - each application is unique
and is processed at it's own pace, although some similarities in timeline may be
expected. Expected, but not necessarily being a rule.

I realise that Andrew.

The problem is, as you said each case has its own unique little quirks, and hence
needs to go through the same process a little differently. Unfortunately, the total
black hole of any information about an individual case is so unsettling, specially
since half of the applications on eStatus say either "In Progress" or dont find the
application at all, just knowing that people in and around our application timeframe
are going through some activity gives some calm to a churning tummy.

I understand that there is no rule that says if the person who got their AOR the day
before me will get their assessment a day before me, but knowing that that person's
file is being actively assessed, instead of being a dissapointment, actually gives
hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel, even if the light is far away, and
even if it really dosnt turn out to be the end of the tunnel
