Default Document Request 27/10/08

I have been on Trackitt but there's not really that many postings for documents requested on 27/10/08 to be supplied by 27/01/09. Anyone in this timeframe who has had any form of response from London?

Hey,

My cut-off was the 27th January 2009; I sent my application on the 12th January 2009 and it was signed for by CIC on the 13th January 2009. I applied as a simplified Skilled Worker in September 2006. I've not heard anything yet but I think it's too soon anyways

Your dates more or less match mine. Just wish they would give some clue as to how long until the next stage is reached, even if they over estimated, it would at least me a guide.
Do you think we have any chance of moving out during the summer?

Yeah, I know what you mean....

Honestly, I was hoping that it would all be done by June because I want to get a job in the summer out there and then come back to the UK to finish off the final year of my law degree in October... Positive thinking eh.. I think we will

I read someones post who moved out in Dec and are now considering going home. A lot has been contributed to the cold and how depressing it can be. I need to move out in the summer, so I know that during the winter it is all worth while. Having said that, I think London is about the same temperature as parts of Canada at the moment.

Back to waiting I guess!

It's really not that bad there at all. I was there last December and came back to the UK in January and then went back in May and only came back in November; the weather's a small sacrifice I reckon...

Well, shall let you know if I hear anything--good luck to you. Hopefully there may be some people who have similar timescales as us and may be able to shine some light on the waiting game... never know

I got to say this though, since I was there for six months, I noticed something which I've never noticed before and that is that London (don't know where you are) is so much darker. Now I don't know if it's just the weather or it's the lighting or it's the colour of the pavements (seriously) or just the fact that I totally hate being here but I swear that it's far more depressing here than it is over there, even in the winter, so don't worry.

Is this where you hear back either medical requests or unlucky. ?

Hi,

Yes, if you're successful, you will get a request for medicals.

Good Luck.

Anyone with this date heard had any update yet? As I emailed CIC London to see if I had included my passport, the reply email also stated that they had accessed my application on 03/02/09 and I should receive a letter from them in due course (no idea if its positive or negative yet). Still no letter but thought that maybe others might have heard by now?

They said they have accessed my case, don't know what that means exactly but I would have thought they have determined if I am eligible and if I make it to the next stage - I have never been so eager to receive a letter in my life. Will they take into consideration that the ulcer I probably have now, is due to the stress of applying!

hahaha, in legal terms, unfortunately CIC have no 'duty of care' towards you and so your ulcer wont have any kind of bearing upon your application! LOL

im sure you'll be fine, dont worry.... its all fun lol, okay, not quite so much 'fun' but we're near the end and at least you know that they're looking at your application eh?

We returned our documents back in November 2008 and we are still waiting for medicals. For some it is nowhere near as quick as it is for others!
We originally applied on 27th July 06 and our AOR is 3rd August 06. We had our update letter on 21st October and at the moment seem to be going nowhere!
Good luck to you all anyway...

Hi,

We are in a similar situation playing the waiting game (AOR -Oct 06, 90 day letter recd Nov 08, Docs sent Nov 08). However, we wanted to be here sooner and came on low skilled labour TWP in July 08. We have also applied through AINP - Family Stream in Aug 08 hoping it might expedite our PR processing.. but still no joy!

The winter here in Calgary has been colder and more snow fall compared to previous years but it is much better than UK with blue skies and bright sunshine.. so much that you need the AC in the car when it is -2 to -5 outside at times. Lets not forget the chinook spells warming it up to +10 at times overnight. The only problem we had is driving on the highways when it has just snowed but then even the Calgarians don't prefer driving in that weather.

I guess those who recd med req already for AOR 0ct -Dec 06 are very lucky indeed with someone even receiving PPR alongwith Med Req. So we will have to see if its going to be Mar 09 for Medicals

Good luck to us all

Helen&Anil

Maybe the number of people within the application has something to do with it, I am applying on my own, so a lot less paper work to go through.
