Default Do you have to activate your PR if you land in Canada?

Have a bit of a dilemma, OH has an interview next week but is only in Canada for 24hrs so doesn't want to spend time going through immigration process. Is this possible? Will they ask about the visa in his passport?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Shouldn't have thought it would be a problem - if he is not landing as a PR, then he can land as a visitor. If they ask about the visa, he could just explain the situation, and I'm sure they'll wave him through.

If anyone knows any different, I'm sure they'll speak up!

Thank you - thought that would be the case but best to check!

Don't wait till they ask. Tell the immigration officer that you have permanent residence but that you don't want to land at this time.
