Question do i need proof of cit for 18 month daughter?

Hi,
My husband is Canadian and I am British; we live in the UK and I am currently filling out the immigration forms so we can move to Canada. My daughter already has a British passport to travel on - as she is automatically a Canadian Citizen does she have to have Proof of citizenship and a Canadian Passport? Brain is so frazzled from all these forms...

thanks
Lydia

Yes, you require proof of her citizenship. See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/proof.asp and you can apply for a limited validity passport as well. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resourc...2009/ob154.asp You really should apply for the passport.

Is your husband also a British citizen and if not, has he thought about becoming a citizen before leaving?

Send copy of British passport ID page and copy of NHS card if this is all you have.
