Default Do I need an lmo to extend my twp when I previously was exempt

Hi,

I've been in Canada for 2 years now on a twp and have applied for pr under the Canadian experience class.
My work permit expires in October next year (11 months or so) so Im pretty sure my twp will expire before I get pr. I wanted to get a head start and apply for an extension to the twp but I'm not sure if I need an lmo.
My original twp didn't require one because I was exempt (software developer) but software developers are no longer exempt from what I can find.

So my question is - does anyone know if I need a lmo now I want to extend the twp? Fingers crossed I don't but It seems logical that I will.

Thanks in advance for any help and information you can provide.

-Steve

You need an approved LMO unless you are in BC.

Thanks for your reply.
That's what I thought but I just wanted to confirm.
I'm in ON so I'll have to ask my employer to start this process.

Thanks again!
