Default Do I need a Attorney !

Andrew and Other experts,

I have applied on Nov 2001 and got interview on March 2003, and on
JUly 2003 got a letter from NY to take IELTS and fill out couple of
forms based on which they will decide if an interview is required or
not (quite surprising intially they said a interview is required from
buffalo and now NY is saying a interview required decision will be
made based on the information i provide). I did take the ielts exam
and will get the max points.

1. will i be evaluated using the old scheme ? if so can anyone provide
the where the old information is available
2. will i need to go thru an immigration lawyer to make the case
successful or will i be ok by if i apply myself. (am worried is how
much it wud cost for a immigration lawyer)

thanks

You will be considered under the old scheme. Your case is proceeding
favourably and if you do well on the IELTS, and the ifnromation you provide
supports what your application stated initially, then there will be no need
for an interview.
