I recently got an approval to sponsor my family from Ethiopia to Canada. Now they
have sent their application for visa to the Canadian embassy in Kenya. In the
application guide it says doing the DNA test earlier may facilitate the process to
get the visa, but there is no information about the procedure of the DNA test. I have
two questions:
(1) Is DNA test a must, even if all the documents sent are enough to prove the
relationship of the sponsor and the family members being sponsored?
(2) If I want to do the DNA test ahead of time (before I am asked), how do I proceed?
Your response is appreciated. Thank you,
Zebeb

Wait for the CHC in Nairobi to advise you if they require DNA tests.
