Default Divorce & PNP - Andrew Miller any guidance please

Hi there

I am in BC on a Bunac visa but working in a professional job. My employer wants to sponsor me via PNP.

However I have separated from my husband a few weeks ago and we will be getting a divorce at some point. We live separately, but there has been no 'legal separation' of any sort. He will not want to make use of my PNP.

Do you know where is the best place to find out how to mitigate this from affecting my PNP application? Is there somewhere I can contact directly for guidance on this situation? I don't know if there is any such thing as a legal separation (pre-divorce) in Canada.

Also if anyone has advice on finding a PNP lawyer then that would be most welcome!

Thank you
Jo

You file showing separated (as you are) and that your spouse is non-accompanying.

I found BC PNP very helpful when I phoned them up to ask the odd question, although it wasn't anything to do with divorce.

Ah! Thank you I thought they would be like CIC and just bat out standard email responses, but if there are actual 'humanoids' you can contact it will probably be the best place to start.
