Default Details of my Interview at CHC, L.A.

Hi..

I am giving below my interview experience at CHA,LA this week.

It went off well. The questions asked were related to my education, my experience (in detail) - paprticularly my current job & responsibilites, Proof of Funds, Proof of relative in Canada, spouse's education and experience. The interview lasted for about 25 minutes and was not at all difficult in any way..I mean the questions were easily answerable.

The Officer concluded by saying that he was satisfied with my paperwork & that I meet the requirements as per the law. He then told me that they would do background checks after which they will send me a letter asking for the Passports. He didn't specify the time for this though.

I had applied in May 2002 from CHC, Buffalo and have already done my medicals in Mar 04 (1 month before interview) and submitted latest PCC certificates during the interview & also paid the "ROLF" after the interview.

Now I am waiting for to receive the Passport Request Letter. Considering that everything from my side is done, I hope it doesn't take a long time. Even the back ground checks in my case should not take very long b'coz I have resided only in India, and have been employed with only 1 employer all these years.

Mr. Miller, any estimates on how long it will take to get the Passport Request....?

Jatin,

How long it took for you to get the interview notification letter and
then, the actual interview date notification letter? CIC Buffalo
notified me that I require interview couple of months ago, haven't
heard from them after that.

Thanks
Vijee

hi,
I have interview at the same office. Can you please tell what
questions they asked. How u proved your relation ship in Canada. I am
not able to understand abt ur background checks is it not the same as
Police clearence or they confirm it from RCMP and CSIS. If you are in
Canada then they should ask for RCMP Clearence from you. Or they have
their own special sevice to look for background. And if you can
clarify what they mean by background checks.

Thanks,

Hi Jatin,
Congrats Jatin on your successful interview. I had
successful interview at L.A too on Jan 04. I had applied
in Dec-01 and did my medicals in NOv-03. I recieved my
passport request from L.A on March 10, 04 i.e about
1.5 month from interview date. I was informed regarding
this by visa officer after the interview.
Hopefully, you will be getting yours passport request too
in 1 month or so since all yours other stuff is already
completed. Good luck.....

Regards

Hi Kanwarjit,

I am giving below some of the questions asked.

1) Is this your first marriage
2) Is this your Spouse's first marriage
3) Do you have kids
4) Tell me something about your education till date (in detail)
5) Tell me about your job from the beginning
6) Why did your Company go for ERP, what are the benefits
7) What was your role in the implementation of ERP.
8) How much funds are your carrying to Canada. Show proof of funds.
9) When did your brother migrate to Canada. Show proof of your
relationship.
10) What is your wife's qualification
11) Where is she working now. What is her designation.

I proved relationship of relative in Canada by showing the Officer Brith certificates of myself & that of my brother...which had same names of our Mom & Dad. that should be OK. Apart from that, I showed my brothers Passport (Canadian), Medical Card, SIN Card to prove that he is living in Canada.

I am from India & liived there throughout my life. Hence, the Police Clearance submitted by me will suffice as a check for any criminal record. I think in background checking they verify if all the information given in the Application form is true & Real. They may cross check with the Employers' or Colleges to check for any mis-conduct or anything else that is negative.

All the Best for your interview Kanwaljeet. Dont worry...just relax...This interview is basically just to verify that whatever you have claimed in your Application is true and also to ascetain your suitability in Canada.
