Dependant children
Hi This is Nicola 1965
I was wondering if anyone else is in the same postion as my family and i are in . We are submitting our applications for permanet residency and our son is coming up to 22 years old. The embassey webb site says for him to be considered dependant on us he has to be in a full time course. Has anyone else who has applied for this in the last 6moths with a child coming up to 22 had any problems with their application and have they had to have that child on a full time course for the application to be accepted, or to be put through.
Many thanks Nicola 1965

I have 2 sons 24 & 19, both at university. The elder one was able to be included on the application (23 at time of applying) as he was still in full time education. He is due to complete his degree in May/June 2010.
Hope this helps

My application was received 6 days before my son's 22nd birthday and we just received PR - he landed 2 weeks ago. He is now 27!!
To reiterate, you must ensure your application is received by CIC before his 22nd birthday to "lock him in" at that age.
