Current Lima question

So we are currently in 🇨🇦 and my husband has an Lima. However when it was issued at the boarder they never put the companies name on, doesn't then mean he isn't tied to that company and could change his job? If so could the work permit be cancelled?
I have phoned Cic and got 2 different answers the first one was he could be would still be resisted to the job type. The second said no he work have to obtain a new Lima and then boarder trip for a new permit?

Any advise or experience would be much appreciate many thanks in advance.

Sometimes the LMIA has the name of the employer in a different manner than the actual companies name. Double check the work permit to see who the employer is. Just because the employers name isn't on the work permit doesn't mean that he can work for any company as who do you think applied for the LMIA?
If working for another employer then a new work permit and LMIA is required.

Thank you Lancastrian.... I am fully aware of who applied for the Lima. I was just asking the question.

Thank you for your answer
