Current citizenship application processing time
Hi,
Wondering if anyone of you could post a timeline (or can tell me the
website where I can find that)for current citizenship application
processing ?. As I am from Quebec so perhaps could be interesting to
know if there is any difference between applying from Quebec or rest
of Canada ?
I am in process to apply for the citizenship and was told by one of my
friend to enclose a finger print report (background check from
RCMP)with the application as well. I am not in any hurry but just
curious if I should do this?
Any response will be highly appreciated.
Thanks
Doug

Most places in Canada take about 10-12 months from application to oath.
Montreal was running a pilot program where once you passed the test, (it was
marked immediately) you went to an oath ceremony. I don't know if there are
still doing this, but it sped up the process.
You don't need a fingerprint report unless specifically asked for it by CIC.
