I have a question.

I am a US citizen, and I am going to Canada next week for a 3 day vacation.

I don't have a criminal record. I never been arrested, let alone fingerprinted.

I got accused of a major crime in Canada a few years ago, which was completely bogus. It was caused by a vengeful ex wife. To make a long story short, nothing happened, I wasn't even questioned. At the time, I didn't even have a passport.

My question is, am I going to have a problem crossing? Is it going to come up?

I tried to research, and based on it, they only care about convictions. But I also read they use CPIC, which does store certain limited information about criminal accusations.

Any input, would be grateful.

I thought that CPIC could only register Orders of the Court (in this context).

CPIC does contain information on individuals who have neither been arrested, charged or convicted of offences.
In your case if no convictions have been rendered then you are not INADMISSIBLE into Canada.
The question usually asked is Have you ever been arrested, charged or convicted of any offence anywhere in the world.
Lots of persons are arrested and charged with offences but NOT convicted so the answer would be YES.
CBSA/CIC base inadmissibility on CONVICTIONS not arrests or charges.
Without knowing your personal details I could not say if information is contained in CPIC about this.
If no CONVICTIONS then not INADMISSIBLE criminality wise.
The exception to this is where a person is suspected or is a member of Organized criminal groups or War Crimes or Terrorist Organizations.
