Default Criminal Record Q & how long to prep application

Hi all,

Happy New Year!

I have a couple of questions, hopefully someone can help.

1. If I received a reprimand when I 14/15, would that need to be listed on the spousal visa? I have an approved ETA where I sent them my UK police certificate.

2. If on my ETA I put that I was suffering from an illness at the time and required medication, would I then need to prove that I'm no longer suffering that illness when applying for a spousal visa or if I do enter Canada under the ETA?

And would I need to get insurance for that illness still?

3. How much time do you need to dedicate to filling in the application for a spousal visa properly?

Is it best to use a solicitor when I visit Canada or when my partner visits the UK? (I'm applying to move to Canada)

Thank you in advance

He answered the questions .

I might have phrased an answer to #3 as "however long it takes to make sure you've done it correctly".
