Default Cost of Medicals in Newcastle upon Tyne

Hey everyone, wondering if you can help me.

Our friends are going the sponsorship route for their visa and our friend was quoted £300 for the medical!

I've always though the medicals were £120-£150 each. Am I completely wrong? If you could give us an idea of the costs, I'd be very grateful.

Hopefully we'll get our medical request soon!

Thanks in advance!

We had ours done in Manchester 5 weeks ago for my FSW application, the fee was £280 per adult, £190 per child (11-14) and £75 for under 11s. That seemed to be about the going rate, I think. I don't know if sponsorship meds are different to FSW meds though.

Cheers for the info. Gosh, I didn't think it would be so expensive. Congrats on getting yours done! You're almost there!

I think we paid around 200 + around 50 for x-ray in Newcastle but could be wrong. There is only 1 place in Newcastle that does the medical anyway. Took about 10min.

Between 220 and 300 quid is the norm, definitely not 120-150 I'm afraid! Unless it's for a child, then they're cheaper.

HTH.
