Contract Opportunity?
Hi all,
My husband is entertaining taking a contract role in Belgium. It pays really well and could be a great opportunity for him.
He is a British/Spanish passport holder.
If he were to take this opportunity does this impact our PR application?
Edited to add: We also want to apply to get our daughter Spanish citizenship. She has a British passport and has received her Canadian citizenship certificate. Does getting a Spanish passport complicate anything?

I can’t help you on the PR question. Obtaining a Spanish passport for your daughter doesn’t cause any problems.

Thank you so much.
So if we move - we just update our contact address with CIC - and then proceed with waiting.

A quick reminder though, when you sponsor a spouse you sign an undertaking to return to Canada once your spouse has had their 'landing' interview and become a PR.

Canadian citizen living outside Canada
- You may submit a sponsorship for your spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner and children who have no children of their own.
- You must, however, come to Canada to live with the sponsored person. If this is your situation, complete the section “Residency Declaration”.
