Comments on likely timeline please
The waiting is killing us! We live in the UK and deal with the Canadian High Commission in London. Our timeline is:
- 16 November 2001 - we applied
- 1 August 2002 - A pink card arrives saying interview not required
- 9 September 2002 - Medicals undertaken
- 18 October 2002 another pink card saying no further info required, "allow 2 - 3 months for processing"
- 24 October - a letter asking for a draft for the RPRF within 30 days
- 26 October RPRF sent to CHC in London
Could anyone with a similar timeline hazard a guess at what happens next and when we might reasonably expect to hear from the High Commission. If I knew for certain it would be six months I could get on with my life - as it happens (and being a real optimist) I pounce on the postman most days only to be disappointed!
Thank you for your help

You can expect to be asked to send in your passports any timenow. It is
impossible to be truly precise in these things.

We did medicals in Early August and Payed ROLF in Early October. Still waiting for the final result? I contact the CHC Colombo, they said - "file with a officer for review". My e-client profile not updated, it only says about the interview date.
Didn't you contact your CHC for your application status

Thanks for your reply. Regrettably CHC London does not provide status details and e-client just says: "In Progress - application received xx Nov 2001, started processing xx Dec 2001". Not very detailed!
You metion a ROLF (Right of Landing Fee?). Interesting. In the UK the CHC asked for a PRPF (Permanent Residence Processing Fee). Are these two names for the same thing? i.e both additional to the original application fee we submitted back in November 2001?

Thank you for your reply. It is some comfort (admittedly slightly perverse!) to know that others are in the same boat. Are you dealing with London? See my post to Kuma re ROLF too - a new term on me.

ROLF & PRPF are the same thing. When we applied. September 2001, it was called ROLF so we still refer to it as that.

I thought that it might cheer you up a bit to know that today (28 December 2002) we received the letter asking us to forward our passports for the CHC to attach our visas. You applied a couple of months before us so I am sure that a similar letter to you must be on its way shortly.
Kind regards
Alastair
