Do you not speak any French already? You say you're aiming at 'basic proficiency', but you would no longer get any points at all for a basic level of second language under the proposed new points system, so you'll need to be at 'moderately demanding' level within a few months, which is going to be tough.
do you have any info on how will be the TEF test pattern ?

CLB/NCLC 5 in all abilities. so is it mandate to score clb 5 individual (W/R/L/S)

I'm sorry, I'm not quite understanding what you're asking? Yes, you need to score Benchmark Level 5 to get the 4 points - and that's about 'moderate' level, not basic.

Sorry, to confuse you.
lets say If I scored CLB 5 in listening, reading on one hand and CLB 4 in writing, speaking on the other how many points will I score ? and do you have any link for TEF test pattern. thanks
