Citizenship Tests- Agghh
I have heard that there are no questions on the test that requires us remembering all the dates in the study guide. Has anyone done the test that knows if there are any questions with dates. Ie. Confederation in .... Thank you. Slightly stressed, test next week.

Does anyone else have any useful tips for the test. Are the questions on the practice sites a good example of the real deal. If I am this stressed now, I can`t imagine what I am going to be like on the morning off, does anyone have any relaxation tips. I am thinking the bar after, best not to go before..... Has anyone taken the test this year. I am new to this site too, so if I am doing this all wrong, sorry

I'm sure there were on mine. And a hockey question. The one about whether Canadians have a right to beat their wife was the best, though.

Honestly the test is a lot easier than those online questions. If you practice everyday doing those online tests an d are passing them with only one or two wrong you'll be fine. Some of the questions were very easy. I got stuck on one, as couldn't remember reading about it in the discover canada book but using common knowledge I quickly figured it out. Read the book too though as some of the questions I got asked weren't in the online tests.
Just remember you can get five wrong and I think you have an hour or half hour to complete it? I finished mine in about ten minutes and that involved checking the answers three times.
I get nervous too over tests, but just read the questions slowly, skip ones that you might not know immediately and come back to them at the end. You'll be fine.

We received our study guide three weeks ago, test date to follow. We have been doing online tests, scoring 85% on average. Can't wait to take the test and become Canadian :-)

We had a few date questions. In the room there are three different tests given out, so the person either side of you has a different test.
I asked what the pass mark was and was told there is not a set pass mark, when I commented on it not mattering if you got some wrong then, I was told it depended on which ones were wrong. So it is anybodies guess how they figure it out.

It changed a few years ago. The old test had certain questions that you had to get right to pass, but a lower pass rate for the others (10 out of 20?). The new test has no questions you must get right, but a higher pass mark.

Took the test a few months ago. 20/20. I downloaded an app for my iPhone that had 300 questions in it, and spent about a week testing myself with it constantly. At the doctors office, waiting for buses etc. Think the app cost $1.99 or something. I basically learned all 300 questions and answers. All the questions in the real test were asked in the app so it was a breeze.
Yes, there were three date related questions in my actual test. Nunavut becoming a territory, and two others that escape me now.

Thank you all so much for your support. Still really nervous though, sometimes I get 20 out of 20 and then something comes up that I cannot even remember reading.
Can anyone tell me about the test itself, is it good old fashioned pencil and paper, or is it on a computer? If they say be there at 8:30am does the test happen pretty quickly or do we all get interviewed first? Can anyone tell me which sites / apps they use to practice on?
