Citizenship Application Timeline

I have my citizenship test next week.
I have been reading and doing practice tests online using different sites. I average around 70-90%. Im freaking out a bit.
How hard is the actual test?

Keep going as you have been doing. I over prepared which I suspect is what you are doing but I enjoyed it.
You will be fine.
I used the Richmond library site:
Canadian Citizenship Practice Test - Richmond Public Library
Citizenship counts:
Ace The Test! - CitizenshipCounts.ca

I applied at the start of January.
Then I had my test in May and took the oath last Tuesday (06/13)
The test was very easy. Especially when compared to the online samples that are freely available.

So a little bit of information/update and a question.
Application sent 3rd May 2017 acknowledged 12th June, showed on website same day, need to use Application Number, other numbers seem to show nothing. Processing started 20th June and Correspondence sent 26th June. Well glad I checked info on internet 12th June as mailing address showed my Immigration Lawyer from six years ago, I did not put info on my Citizenship Application...why! Changed address and rang today as correspondence sent but mailing address still showing incorrect, assured it has changed but no explanation why it showed and why it still shows. The correspondence coming is asking for fingerprints, is that normal? Why not send with application if they need them?

My mail address was showing my old UK address from 5 years ago back in the UK when I initially moved.
I changed it but using the online service but always showed the old address.
Everything came through to the correct address as per my Citizenship application. I wouldn't worry about it.

Along with having your photo taken, front on, then profile while holding a little chalk board with your name and a long number underneath, then lining up with a group of people in front of what looks like a mirror which could be two way glass- having to wear a striped outfit, then being put in tiny little room with seemingly no way out, having to poo/wee in a bucket....... no, probably not that normal...

Sometimes fingerprints are requested. My daughter had to do them and she had just become 18. No one else was requested (my husband or other daughter who was younger). I didn't get a request either on my own application. So I wouldn't worry about it.

I got a request for fingerprints last week. Got them taken yesterday at the local Peel Police division - hopefully it won't delay the process too long.

Just an update. As mentioned the similar name/ date of birth triggered the request for finger prints. Cost was $52 done 27th June, no update online so I phoned Immigration, they were received 17th July, I asked why so long from date done and was advised the post is taking aprox two weeks to open, but is stamp dated on day received. I have also learned, the online update only info they request not what you send back, I was advised all ok and in progress will stay until complete, next will be test request. I did say if you updated the system to confirm receipt of info requested it would save so many calls, that is coming next year! Test practice now.

Well I'm glad to say that the imminent law changes will allow us to count our time on work permits as 1/2 time and with the reduction from 4 years to 3 years it means we can apply next June instead of January 2020! - awesome.
I tried the online test exams and got around 85% - the wife only got 30% on her first attempt however and my 11 year old got 65%, so I should be ok, but those two have some work to do lol
