Citizenship Application Timeline

Re: Citizenship Application Timeline
Thanks PMM and Siouxie! That's useful to know. Given his ceremony was never scheduled, I'm guessing it'll be awhile longer before they get around to him.

Re: Citizenship Application Timeline
Yeah exactly, I have checked but to no avail.
That's ok. If it's usually 3 months and then plus Covid time, I'll wait it out. I was told locally it's usually around 2 months, so I thought I'd enquire as it's been over that now.
Thanks everyone.

We're 10 months in from when we sent our application. It's a bit like watching paint dry now... so I spend as little time thinking about it as I can and at some point we will be positively surprised.

For now I'll just lay back and think of England...as they say

Mr Schnooks will be a Canadian citizen as of Thursday around 8:30am. He got an email last week to do a Zoom oath.
What crazy times! But happy to finally have the finish line in sight!!

Congrats! I'm still chasing my MP to put pressure on IRCC to resume testing. Going to be a long road I feel.

Re: Citizenship Application Timeline
Looks like they are restarting some in-person appointments in Vancouver as an experiment.

Not really I applied when COVID kicked in about March (can’t remember excact date.) got a new black passport back in three months.
with tracking etc.
my passport expired in may ,wasn’t going anywhere anyway ,
but I paid 80 bucks for special delivery and a home made photo shot with a white blanket background.
as photographer places where shut.
anyway the uk government kept in touch here and there.

Re: Citizenship Application Timeline
Just wondering if there is anyone with recent AOR? I’ve just gone onto the website and their current AOR status shows they’re currently working on sending AOR for applications received in week of December 31st 2020. They received my application on September 14th 2020
Edit: nevermind, just selected “AOR received” entered my details and it shows my mailing address as my UK address... odd. Anyways, application was started being processed as of March 1st

Re: Citizenship Application Timeline
I have waited for 15 months and wrote my citizenship test 2 weeks ago.
It is generally upto 3 months after the test on CIC website.
Do you know how long to wait after successful test

Re: Citizenship Application Timeline
I wrote the test on Feb 19th. No news yet. Hoping maybe to hear something in April...or May...or June...
