Citizenship Application Forms - October 2020 version - Country picklist issue

Hi all
I'm filling in the latest version of the Citizenship application forms (adult), their October 2020 version.
One of the main changes they have made, when compared to the previous version (Dec 2019) is that now many of the boxes are drop-down picklists, whereas previously you could type characters in those boxes. I know they do this to prevent people making typos or entering invalid answers, but in the pick list they use for countries, United Kingdom is not an available choice! England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are there, but when you're trying to put in the issuing country of your existing passports, or the country where you currently have citizenship, you can't pick what is technically (and legally) the correct answer!! I'm not a citizen of England, I'm a citizen of the United Kingdom, and England didn't issue my passport.
I know the people checking this stuff at the CIC end should be able to apply common sense, and accept England as an answer for these questions, but I just wanted to check if anyone else has submitted Oct 2020 forms and had them accepted, with England, Scotland, Wales or NI as their country?

Thanks!

Just a follow up on this. I noticed in another thread that Siouxie had put a link to the form to submit questions to CIC (https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-r...e-cas-eng.aspx), and one of the options is to submit a "Technical difficulty" issue, so I've raised this problem about the country picklist using that form.
Ironically, as part of the hoops to jump through to submit that form, I had to give my country of birth, from a picklist, and United Kingdom was in that list (as was England, Scotland, Wales and NI)...
We'll wait and see if anything comes of this.

When you fill out the form for the tech issue / or any case specific enquiry form or application, you must use your Country of birth - i.e. England / Ireland / Scotland / Wales etc., and not United Kingdom / British Citizen / UK National - they may not be able to find your application unless you do.

From the ? by the dropdown = This is where you were born. It is the country you have entered on your application to IRCC.

Oh god. The bureaucracy!! :banghead: Thanks for pointing that out, I'll have another go. I guess the problem is as much with the confusing muddle that is UK, GB, England/Scotland/Wales/NI as it is with the developers of the IRCC website & forms using ambiguous or incomplete picklists.

Edit - actually, I'm going to leave it as it is, I can't be bothered to retype the info I put in that form first time around. It's not like they've got to link my submission to an active application request (I couldn't submit the application form because I couldn't get the country right!). The fact I put UK instead of England as my country of birth doesn't alter the fact that their pick list is wrong on the application forms... If they want to discount my submission, then I'll just wait till the next version of the forms are released and see if they've fixed it..
