Citizenship App: Didn't Change address on Health Card after Moving
I moved to Toronto, but never changed the address on my health card, because I don't
ever go to hospitals. It is time to apply citizenship, and I am asked for a copy of
my card. I wonder since there will be more than 3 months residence in Toronto and by
law I should change the address right away after moving. Will that be a problem for
deciding which citizenship office my file will be sent to? Because according to the
memo, when an address is at doubt, the citizenship officer can use the previous
address in living history to transfer the file to.

Hi:
You will have to provide a photocopy of your healthcard. However, you can provide an
explanation that you never changed the address on your health card. The primary
concern for the citizenship officer is the number of days you were physically
residing in Canada, on your ties to Canada.
