Default CIT 0177

Applying for Citizenship as through my IEC work permit and PR status I have the required number of days to be eligible.

Using the online calculator my eligibility period is 16 May 2013 - 16 May 2018, I moved to Canada in June 2013 so there was a period of 40 days where I lived outside Canada in Scotland. Of course I cannot use this 40 days towards my eligibility.

When you select yes for "During your eligibility period did you live outside of Canada" it asks you to fill out a form (CIT 0177).

This form is for people living outside of Canada with a souse/common law serving in armed forces or a government position and is not relevant to me.

What have other people in a similar circumstance done?
